Soroptimist International of Chelan is proud to present the Chelan Chase, a USATF course-certified 5K Race/Run/Walk in Chelan, Washington, with proceeds equally benefiting the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Mammography Department. the Chelan Douglas Relay for Life / American Cancer Society and the Wellness Place.
Lake Chelan Community Hospital. The Chelan Chase donates 50% of its proceeds to the Lake Chelan Community Hospital (LCCH) Mammo-graphy Department to provide mammograms and diagnostic services at no personal cost to all individuals who are uninsured or under-insured.
American Cancer Society/Chelan-Douglas Relay for Life. The Chelan Chase donates one quarter of its proceeds to the Chelan-Douglas Relay for Life for breast cancer research. The Chelan-Douglas Relay is held in East Wenatchee each June. The total proceeds are then passed on to the American Cancer Society programs that include cancer research, school and work-site educational programs, public policy efforts and direct services to cancer patients and their families. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity.
Wellness Place. The last quarter of proceeds is allotted for Wellness Place, a nonprofit that provides support to cancer patients from NorthCentral Washington. Their services include free wigs, head coverings, nutritional supplements, compression glove/sleeve assistance, pre-scription assistance, lodging & travel assistance, fitness classes, and support groups. They strive to meet the needs of all cancer patients. If you are a cancer patient and have a need that is not currently being met, Wellness Place will work hard to accommodate your request.
Soroptimist International of Chelan - Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization for women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally. Some of SI Chelan’s many community projects include providing college education scholarships for local students and those seeking continuing education. SI Chelan sponsors the Chelan Chase, our largest fundraiser.

Do you have a team?
Teams are popular this year! If you are gathering a team together, make sure you have each runner fill out a registration form. Have them complete it fully and sign. Staple the full teams’ members with a paper on top stating the name of the team and how many members. Be sure and include at least $100 per team member on race day!
